What size (BTU) air conditioner do I need?
As a rough guide: up to 350 sq ft → 12,000 BTU, 350–550 sq ft → 18,000 BTU, 550–800 sq ft → 24,000 BTU. Sun exposure, ceiling height and how many people use the room all matter though — send us your room details and we will recommend the right size for free.
Is an inverter unit worth the extra cost?
Usually, yes. Inverter units adjust their compressor speed instead of switching on and off, which can cut electricity use by up to 40%. In a room you cool every day, the energy savings typically repay the price difference within a couple of years — and they run quieter too.
Are the prices on the website in TT dollars?
Yes — all prices are in TT dollars by default. You can switch the display to US dollars using the TTD/USD toggle at the top of every page. The USD figure is an indicative conversion for reference.
Can you source a unit that is not on the website?
Very often, yes. We work with several distributors and can source most major brands and capacities on request. Send us a quote request with what you are after and we will confirm availability and price.
Orders, delivery & installation
What happens after I place an order online?
We call you within one business day to confirm your order, arrange delivery or pickup, and quote installation if you requested it. Nothing is charged when you place the order — you pay on delivery or pickup.
Do you deliver across Trinidad and Tobago?
Yes — we arrange delivery island-wide, serving Port of Spain, San Fernando, Chaguanas, Arima, Couva, Point Fortin and surrounding areas. Delivery details and any charge are confirmed on the phone before anything is finalised. You can also choose pickup at checkout.
Do I have to buy the unit from you to get installation?
No. We install units bought elsewhere too. That said, buying and installing with us means one point of contact and one warranty conversation if anything ever needs attention.
How long does an installation take?
A standard split unit installation usually takes 2–4 hours depending on the wall, pipe run and electrical work needed. We confirm the scope when we assess the space, and we leave the area clean when we are done.
Payments & accounts
How do I pay?
Right now you pay on delivery or pickup — cash or LINX. Secure online card payment is coming to the website soon. Placing an order online never charges you; it reserves your items and starts the confirmation process.
Do I need an account to order?
No — guest checkout works fine. Creating a free account just means your details are saved for next time and you can see your order history under My Account.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Yes — just call or WhatsApp us at +1 (868) 681-8946 with your order reference (it looks like ARP-XXXXXX) before delivery and we will sort it out. There is no charge for changing or cancelling before delivery.
Warranty & maintenance
What warranty comes with a unit?
Every unit carries its manufacturer warranty — typically 1 year on parts and up to 5 years on the compressor, depending on the brand (the exact terms are listed on each product page). Installations we perform also carry our own workmanship warranty.
How often should I service my AC?
In our climate, every 3–4 months for units used daily, and at least twice a year for lighter use. Regular cleaning keeps efficiency up, prevents water leaks and protects the compressor — it is far cheaper than a repair.
My AC is leaking water inside. What should I do?
Switch it off and give us a call. An inside leak is usually a blocked drain line or a dirty evaporator coil — quick fixes when caught early, but they can damage walls and furniture if left running.
